Congratulations to Stephen Parrott, Class 39, who recently accepted a job as CFO at Fort Boise Produce. Fort Boise Produce is owned by Joe Farmer, Class 35, and his father Jim. Stephen has been employed by Northwest Farm Credit Services and based most recently in Nampa. 

Congratulations to Ian Crawford, Class 32, who has been promoted to a new role within Simplot. Simplot Grower Solutions recently purchased Pinnacle Ag Holdings and Innvictis Crop Care now re-named CropLife #3. This makes Simplot the largest American owned ag retailer for crop inputs, fertilizer, ag chem, seed and technology, operating in 30 states with 230 locations. Ian’s new role with “sustainability” will help farmers participate in 4R nutrient stewardship through The Fertilizer Institute. With his new role, Ian was recently seated as chairman for CropLife America Sustainability Committee, an industry advocacy group for crop protection chemistry.

Class 41 has a number of family ties and relations to LIA alumni: Jessica Anderson, Amalgamated Sugar Co., is the daughter of David Marchbanks, Class 12; Gabe Flick, Production Ag, is the son of Todd Flick, Class 5; Kathryn Hartman, Idaho Water Users, is the daughter of John Hartman, Class 10 and sister of Jeff Hartman, Class 34; Larry Hollifield, Production Ag, is the son of Terry Hollifield, Class 2; Johanna Hyink, Production Ag, is the daughter of Willie Bokma, Class 37; Connor Lankford, Valley Agronomics, is the son of Larry Lankford, Class 6; Patxi Larrocea-Phillips, Association Management Group and Production Ag, is the son of Flip Phillips, Class 3 and Susi Larrocea, Class 4; and Cassie Olson, Boundary County Soil and Water Conservation District, is the wife of Erik Olson, Class 38. By far this class has had the most family connections to LIA Alumni in the history of the organization.
 
2020 has been a bonus year of LIA Alumni deciding to join as Lifetime Members of the Foundation. Congratulations to David Patrick, Class 29, on the birth of another Granddaughter – giving David 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. This is also a celebration for Jim Patrick, Class 15, on being the Great Grandpa of Evelyn who was born on November 11.
 
Congratulations is extended to Nic, Class 37, and Kyra Gibson, Class 35, on the birth of their second daughter, Harper June, born on November 23. Harper weighed in at 8 lbs. and 2 oz. and will join older sister Hadley. Proud Grandpa is Rick Waitley, Class 8.
 
November/December LIA Alumni LINK Call will be held on Thursday, December 3 due to the conflicts in the regular schedule with Thanksgiving and Christmas. The calls will return to the last Thursday of each month starting in January. Please plan to join us for the call at 9:00 AM (Mountain Time).
