Congratulations to Dr. Samantha Ramsey, Class 35, who was recently presented the U of I Presidential Mid-Career Award. Dr. Ramsey is on the faculty at U of I CALS in Family and Consumer Sciences specializing in child nutrition.
Congratulations to Jim Lowe, Class 31 and an LIA trustee, who was presented the Honorary Chapter FFA Degree by the Kuna FFA Chapter at their annual awards banquet. Jim and his wife, Hillary, own and operate The Farmstead Corn Maze and Pumpkin Festival in Meridian. Bill Lickley, Class 25, and his wife, Laurie, LIA affiliate member and an LIA trustee, are the proud parents of Cole Lickley who was named U of I Outstanding Freshman at the annual CALS award banquet. Amanda Crump, Class 23, was recently named the director of the Western Integrated Pest Management Center. The Western IPM Center supports the development, adoption, and evaluation of integrated pest management to reduce the risks posed to human health by pests and pest-management practices. Travis Jones, Class 28, has recently accepted a position in Portland, Oregon, where he will be working with Nike Corporation in their Government Affairs division. Travis and his family will be relocating to the Portland area in the near future. Elli Brown, Class 32, has accepted a position with the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) working out of their Boise office. Elli will assume the role of Policy and Outreach Specialist, serving as a liaison between state government and business leaders, and working on regional government affairs contacts outside of Idaho. Elli has been employed at Veritas Advisors in Boise. We are missing contact information for the following LIA alumni (and Class #).
