LIA LINKS (Leadership Information Network Knowledge)
The first monthly LIA LINKS call will take place on Thursday, June 25 at 9:00 AM (MT). We invite all LIA Alumni to join us for this call. The guest presenters on the call will include the following: Tim McGreevy, CEO of Idaho Pea and Lentil Commission "What's Happening to the Idaho Pulse Industry Due to Covid-19" While many of Idaho's commodities have been severely impacted as a result of the virus, the pulse in the industry is a different situation. Tim will share what has happened to an inventory that was in excess from the 2019 crop year and what it looks like on the horizon for the 2020 crop demand in the market around the world. Doug Robison, President, Idaho Northwest Farm Credit Services "Global, Regional and State Outlook on Finances, Coronavirus and Unemployment" The LIA Alumni Activities Committee has requested that Doug remain a stable part of the monthly calls as his time permits. Doug's pulse on what is happening in various areas helps to set the stage and provide updated information in many areas. Lori Lodge, President of Idaho Counseling Assn. "These Unprecedented Times Have Impacted the Lives of Many People. What are some Signs You Should be Aware of for Friends and Family When There May be Need for Help"? Lori is a professional counselor in Boise and has seen an increase in caseloads due to circumstances surrounding the coronavirus. We know that many in the agriculture and natural resource industry are carrying additional levels of stress due to prices, projections for commodities, and other day to day issues. As leaders in our homes and communities we want to be aware of those visual or verbal signs that might indicate the need for some assistance to help others. This format is keeping with the recommendation of the LIA Activities Committee:
