Congratulations to Avery Robertson, Class 39, on the birth of a son, Jace Dennis on October 11. Jace entered the world weighing 7 pounds and 15 oz and was 20" long. Jace joins his older brother Colter in the Robertson's home.
Congratulations to a proud father, Dave Reynolds, Class 40, whose daughter, Jessica, recently got engaged. Brother, Mac Reynolds, Class 40, is the proud brother. Jessica works with her father on the family diversified farming operation and her brother Mac works in Genesee for PNW Farmers Cooperative. Wedding bells rang this past weekend in Joseph, OR for Brenna Christison, Class 37, who married Greg Smith. The couple went from Plan C to Plan D to pull off the wedding. Brenna continues her work in Boise for the Idaho Wine Commission. Speaking of the Wine Commission, Administrator, Moya Dolsby, Class 30, was named by the Wine Business Monthly as an honoree that helped shape the North America wine industry. Moya was named a 2020 Wine Industry Leader. Let's also congratulate, LIA Trustee, Linda Rider, Class 22. She will be honored at the Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs Convention in Colorado Springs, as the Fair Person of the Year. Linda has served on the North Idaho Fair Board for a number of terms and has been a stalwart in the promotion of agriculture events in the CDA area. Linda and her husband Rob own and operate a farm, trail ride, event center and small family logging operation east of CDA. Brent Reinke, Class 40, was recently selected by the National Association of Counties as a member of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Policy Steering Committee. Brent serves as a Twin Falls County Commissioner and was presented the LIA Wayne Meyer Statesman Award in February for his service as a public official. Sympathy is extended to Tim Corder, Class 7, in the recent passing of his mother who lived in Nampa. Tim lives in the Mountain Home area. Sympathy extended to Hank Hafliger, Class 12, on the passing of his mother who lived in California. This is also Hank Hafliger III's, Class 26, grandmother. Both Hilfiger's are involved in Cedar Ridge Dairy outside of Twin Falls. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kasey Garrett, Class 28, whose 35 year old cousin, Cody, was killed in a logging truck accident earlier this month on US Highway 95 outside of Council. LIA is exploring the creation of an LIA alumni cookbook. The project is being led by LIA Trustee, Malia Miller, Class 36, and Development Director, Kendra Dustin, Class 32. If you or a spouse of an LIA Alumni would like to serve on the steering committee please let Malia know by contacting her at [email protected] or Kendra at [email protected]. The project just received a grant from the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation in Idaho and the plans are to launch the book in the fall of 2022. If this fits your skill set, please plan to join the committee and share your ideas and thoughts. She is running as an Independent for the position. For Class 41, we are searching for a company who may want to have their logo and/or name on bottles of hand sanitizer.
