Congressional Aides Fact-Finding Tour

2026 Tour Information & Registration TBA

The Leadership Idaho Agriculture Foundation invites you to be part of a powerful and impactful experience through the Congressional Aides Fact-Finding Tour. This is an immersive program designed to connect federal decision-makers with the realities of Idaho agriculture.

Originally hosted for three decades and welcoming nearly 200 congressional aides and federal agency representatives, this tour has long served as a bridge between Washington, D.C. and Idaho’s agricultural communities. After a hiatus, the LIA Foundation proudly revived the program, bringing new energy and purpose to this important initiative.

This multi-day tour offers congressional staff a firsthand look at the diversity, innovation, and challenges that define Idaho agriculture. Participants step beyond policy discussions and into the field visiting working farms, ranches, and facilities that represent key sectors such as beef, potatoes, sugar beets, wheat, dairy, and more. The experience also highlights Idaho’s broader natural resource landscape, with stops that may include water infrastructure, renewable energy sites, and value-added operations like vineyards.

More than just a tour, this is an opportunity to foster meaningful dialogue and lasting relationships. By engaging directly with producers, industry leaders, and community members, participants gain valuable insight into the issues shaping agriculture today, which informs better decision-making at the national level.

The Leadership Idaho Agriculture Foundation is proud to partner with industry stakeholders and alumni to bring this experience to life. We invite you to join us in supporting and participating in this unique effort to elevate Idaho agriculture and strengthen connections with those shaping policy on its behalf.
