JANUARY 13, 2012 BRIEF

Congratulations to Kali Sherrill, Class 27, elected and recently sworn in as a City Councilwoman for the City of Murtaugh.

Dan Goicoechea, Class 16, has been named Vice President of Government Affairs for Paris Hill Agricom, Inc.  Dan is still located in Boise in his new position.

Congratulations to Nathan Riggers, Class 12, whose son Jonathon has been named by Congressman Labrador to the US Naval Academy.

Roger Aguilar, Class 27, has relocated to Intermountain Community Bank in Payette serving as a commercial loan officer and branch manager.  Roger was formerly in Caldwell for the same bank.

LIA is all about connections and networking as was recently displayed when Dustin Carter, Class 31, invited Craig Lindquist, Class 31, to make a presentation on the subject, “Farm Land Values, Reality vs. Myth”.  Dustin and Craig were classmates and now you know the rest of the story.

Bob Hays, Class 28, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Environmental Care Association in late December.  Congratulations to Bob on this honor.  Bob was also recently elected as chairman of the board of directors for the Meridian Cemetery District.  It is a good thing that Bob retired from ISDA so he has time for all of these “extra-curricular activities” in life.

Rachel Halsey, Class 29, has departed the U of I CALS staff and joined the staff at WSU as Administrative Professional, Coordinator.  This is a full-time position with responsibilities for managing and coordinating several programs within student services in the College of Vet Medicine.  This is a new position within the college.  Congratulations Rachel.  Your paycheck
may be from the Cougars, but we hope in your heart you are always a Vandal.
